We are honoured indeed to welcome back SPO friend David Butt Philip to run our popular Masterclass at the home of SPO, St Paul's Church, Rectory Grove, Clapham SW4 0DX on Thursday, 5th March 2020.
You don't have to be an opera buff to appreciate the transformation of a singer from 'amazing' to 'outstanding'. Come to the Masterclass to see and hear this for yourself.

"Telling stories is what opera is all about. Not only through words and spectacle but also through some of the best music ever written. From fairytales to dramatic love affairs and from medieval Scotland and Bourgeois Paris to ancient Rome expect a lot of stories, from the sublime to the ridiculous. Oh, and some banging tunes."
Heidi will sing the role of Cherubino in St Paul Opera's Production of the Marriage of Figaro, staged at St Paul's Clapham and sung in Italian (Le nozze di Figaro). Performances are 5 & 6 July, 2019.
Lunchtime Recital: A selection of songs, including Ravel’s Cinq mélodies populaires grecques, English songs by Warlock and Bridge, a smattering of French and Italian opera arias, interspersed with solo piano. Featuring mezzo-soprano Heidi Jost and pianist Lysianne Chen.
